1. About these terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of bodypharm-uk.com (the "Site") and any purchase you make from us. The Site is operated by Body Pharm ("we", "us", "our"), 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom; company registration details are available on request from support@bodypharm.co.uk. By using the Site, creating an account or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

2. Definitions

• "Products" — the research chemicals, peptides and related items we offer, all supplied for research use only.
• "Research Use Only" / "RUO" — for research and analytical purposes only; not for human or animal consumption, ingestion, injection, application or any in vivo use.
• "Research-Use Declaration" — the pre-purchase declaration confirming you are 18 or over, are acquiring the Products for laboratory research, and accept the RUO nature of the Products.
• "Order" — your request to purchase Products.

3. Eligibility

To use the Site and buy Products you must be at least 18 years old; complete the Research-Use Declaration and provide accurate information including a valid date of birth; confirm that all Products are for Research Use Only and will not be administered to or consumed by any human or animal; and be purchasing for laboratory research, not on behalf of a minor. We may refuse or cancel any Order, or suspend or close any account, where we reasonably believe these requirements are not met.

4. Research Use Only — nature of the Products and your responsibility

This is a core condition of sale. You acknowledge and agree that:

• All Products are sold for research and analytical purposes only and are not medicines, medical devices, dietary supplements, cosmetics or food;
• Products are not intended, licensed or approved for human or animal consumption or any in vivo use, and must not be used for any such purpose;
• No statement on the Site — including product descriptions, monographs or comparisons — is medical, veterinary or professional advice, nor an instruction to administer or consume any Product. We publish no dosing, administration or protocol information;
• You are solely responsible for handling, storing, using and disposing of the Products safely, lawfully and in accordance with all applicable laws and good laboratory practice, and for ensuring anyone handling them is competent to do so;
• You will not resell, supply or represent any Product as being fit for human or animal use.

5. Product information, pricing and availability

We take care to describe Products accurately, but images and descriptions are for general information and may contain errors. Prices are in pounds sterling (GBP), inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated, and may change without notice. If we discover a genuine and obvious pricing or description error affecting your Order, we may cancel it (even after acceptance) and refund any amount paid. Products may be temporarily out of stock; where a waitlist is offered, joining it lets us notify you when a Product is back in stock — it is not an Order, does not reserve stock and does not guarantee availability or price.

6. Reviews and authenticity

We do not publish customer reviews or testimonials on the Site. Any review of a Product would necessarily describe its use, and the Products are supplied strictly for laboratory research. Where we describe a Product we rely on batch documentation (Certificates of Analysis) and published scientific literature, consistent with UK consumer-protection law including the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024.

7. Orders and acceptance

Placing an Order is an offer by you to buy Products subject to these Terms. An automatic acknowledgement does not mean we have accepted your Order. A contract is formed only when we accept your Order, which we do when we confirm dispatch (or otherwise expressly confirm acceptance). We may decline or cancel an Order — for example if a Product is unavailable, if we suspect fraud or misuse, if eligibility requirements are not met, or if there has been a pricing or description error. Where you have paid for an Order we do not accept, we will refund you in full.

8. Payment

Payments are processed by our third-party provider, PayTree; by paying you also agree to their terms. You confirm you are authorised to use the payment method provided. We do not store your full card details. We are not responsible for the availability or acts of the payment provider, though we will help resolve payment issues relating to your Order where we reasonably can.

9. Shipping and returns

We offer free tracked UK delivery via Royal Mail — see our Shipping page. We offer 14-day returns on unused, unopened Products; used or opened Products are non-returnable unless faulty — see our Returns page. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law. The Shipping and Returns pages form part of these Terms.

10. Your account and responsibilities

Provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date; verify your email address when prompted; keep your login details confidential; and you are responsible for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly at support@bodypharm.co.uk if you suspect unauthorised use. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms, are used unlawfully, or are used to misrepresent the Products.

11. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the Site or Products unlawfully or in breach of the RUO conditions; represent, resell or supply any Product as fit for human or animal use; provide false eligibility or age information; attempt to gain unauthorised access to or disrupt the Site; or copy, scrape or misuse Site content except as permitted.

12. Intellectual property

All content on the Site — including text, branding, the "Body Pharm" name and logo, product descriptions, articles and images — is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual-property law; you may not reproduce or exploit it without our permission. "Body Pharm" is our brand. Third parties, resellers or marketplace sellers who are not authorised by us are not "official Body Pharm" and are not endorsed by us; we are not responsible for the products, claims or conduct of any unaffiliated reseller purporting to sell "Body Pharm" products. Genuine Body Pharm Products are sold only through bodypharm-uk.com (or channels we expressly confirm in writing).

13. Disclaimers

The Products are supplied "as is" for Research Use Only. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we give no warranty that a Product is fit for any particular purpose beyond the specification we publish, and make no representation that any Product is safe or suitable for human or animal use — such use is prohibited. Site content (including articles and comparisons) is general information about research topics, not advice of any kind. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free.

14. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability where it would be unlawful to do so — including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be excluded under UK law (including certain consumer rights). Subject to that, and given the Research Use Only nature of the Products, we are not liable for any loss, injury, damage or liability arising from any use of a Product contrary to these Terms — including any human or animal consumption or in vivo use, or any handling, storage or disposal not in accordance with applicable law and good laboratory practice; you assume all risk of such prohibited use. Subject to the first sentence, we are not liable for indirect, special or consequential loss, or loss of profit, business or data, and our total liability in connection with an Order is limited to the amount you paid for the Products in that Order.

15. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against any claims, losses, liabilities, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal costs) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Products (including any human or animal use), or your breach of any applicable law in connection with the Products.

16. Events outside our control

We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control (for example carrier disruption, supply-chain failure, or acts of government).

17. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them, are governed by the laws of England and Wales and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK, you may also benefit from mandatory protections of the law of your home nation.

18. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version that applies to your Order is the one in force when you place it. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we make changes.
