Body Pharm CJC-1295 + Ipamorelin is a sealed, pre-filled multi-dose research pen containing a 20 mg combined blend of two synthetic peptides in solution: CJC-1295 (no DAC), a 29-amino-acid GHRH(1-29) analogue, and Ipamorelin, a synthetic pentapeptide ghrelin-receptor agonist.

Research background

The two peptides act at different receptors of the somatotropic axis. CJC-1295 (no DAC; also called Mod GRF 1-29) is GHRH(1-29) with four amino-acid substitutions that improve stability against DPP-IV cleavage, and acts at the GHRH receptor [1]. Ipamorelin (Aib-His-D-2-Nal-D-Phe-Lys-NH2) acts at the ghrelin receptor GHS-R1a with high selectivity and, in the original characterisation by Raun and colleagues (1998), negligible effect on ACTH, cortisol or prolactin release [2].

GHRH-receptor and ghrelin-receptor activation are additive in pituitary somatotroph models, so pairing a GHRH analogue with a selective secretagogue is a standard experimental design for studying synergistic, pulsatile growth-hormone release.
