Overview

Body Pharm GHK-Cu is a sealed, pre-filled multi-dose research pen containing 50 mg of GHK-Cu (copper tripeptide-1) in solution. GHK-Cu is the copper(II) complex of the naturally occurring tripeptide glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine, first isolated from human plasma by Pickart in 1973; the histidine imidazole and N-terminal amine coordinate the copper ion.

The pen is a laboratory research material. It is supplied strictly for laboratory research and is not for human or veterinary use. It is not a medicine, food, dietary supplement or cosmetic, and no medical, therapeutic or performance claims are made or implied. No dosing information is provided.

Research background

GHK-Cu is the most studied copper peptide in dermatological and tissue-remodelling research. In fibroblast and keratinocyte culture it is used to investigate collagen, elastin and glycosaminoglycan synthesis; in gene-expression profiling it has been reported to modulate a large set of genes, including matrix-metalloproteinase / TIMP balance, TGF-β signalling and antioxidant-response genes [1][2]. Its high copper affinity also makes it a model ligand for copper delivery in cell-culture systems.

The compound is studied alongside the BPC-157 + TB-500 blend in wound-model and fibroblast-migration assays that examine extracellular-matrix turnover. See the GHK-Cu monograph for identity data and primary literature.

Quality documentation

Every batch is HPLC-tested for purity and identity. The batch-specific Certificate of Analysis is published on this page and on our Certificates of Analysis page, and the batch number is printed on the pen label.

Storage and handling

Store refrigerated at 2–8 °C. Protect from light. Do not freeze. GHK-Cu solutions are blue; a colour change indicates loss of the copper complex and the unit should not be used. Handle only with appropriate personal protective equipment in a laboratory setting and dispose of the pen as laboratory sharps waste. Keep out of reach of children and animals.

Supply, dispatch and returns

Dispatched from the UK by tracked Royal Mail in plain outer packaging; most UK orders arrive within 1–3 working days. Shipping is free on UK pen orders. Unused, unopened pens with the seal intact may be returned within 14 days of delivery; opened pens cannot be returned. See shipping and returns.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is GHK-Cu for human use?

No. Body Pharm GHK-Cu is supplied strictly for laboratory research and is not for human, veterinary or cosmetic use. No dosing or administration information is provided.

What is GHK-Cu studied for in the laboratory?

Collagen, elastin and glycosaminoglycan synthesis in fibroblast culture, gene-expression profiling of tissue-remodelling pathways, and copper-delivery studies in cell-culture systems.

How is purity verified?

Each batch is HPLC-tested for purity and identity; the Certificate of Analysis for that batch is published on this page.

How should the pen be stored?

Refrigerated at 2–8 °C, protected from light, never frozen.
